Engadget's 3rd Birthday Giveaway - Day 1

- Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX + Copy of Lego Star Wars II + Xbox 360 for Windows Controller
- SanDisk Sansa e280R
- Netgear WGR101 Wireless Travel Router
- Samsung A920 (Sprint)
- v-moda bass-freq headphones
Here's what you have to do to win:
Make a post in the comments below with links to your favorite Engadget posts from each of the past three years (i.e. post your fave link from 2004, your fave from 2005, and your fave from 2006). Make sure you have one post from each year, as well as why it's your favorite post of that year, otherwise we have to disqualify your entry. It's a little tougher if you haven't been reading the site since 2004, but you gotta give something back to the old school, right? We'll pick five winners at random from among all qualifying entries.
A few rules (yeah, there are always rules):
- You may only enter this specific contest once. If you enter this contest more than once you'll be automatically disqualified and barred from all future giveaways. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.) You may enter our other Birthday contests, but you can't win more than once; if you happen to win more than once (which is pretty unlikely, but still) we'll ask you to choose just one of your prizes.
- You can only win once.
- This contest is open to anyone anywhere.
- Contest is open until 11:59pm EST on Sunday, March 4th.

2006: Nintendo Revolution gets real name: http://www.engadget.com/2006/04/27/nintendo-wii-the-revolution-gets-a-real-name/ - I was actually surprised about Nintendo made that decision... As well as the speed Engadget reported it.

http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/07/benq-fp241w-24-incher-reviewed/
From 2005, the unpacking of 360! It was a while after the launch before I finally got my own 360, so I drooled all over my computer when this was posted.
http://gaming.engadget.com/2005/11/17/unpacking-the-xbox-360/
From 2004, this was fairly amusing even though I found it much later than 2004. I had been wanting to make the switch over to a mac, but I didn't have the financial means to do so. This was the closest thing to a real mac that I could get at the time, and it looks a lot better than boring old Windows XP.

You have to love the stackup of the three consoles and the fact that after years of waiting for the next gen consoles, they range from good, to ok, to just plain bad. I'll let you be the judge of what title fits which console. :-)
2005:

This post is about the archos 604 wifi. I had just recently purchased my av500 and saw the 604 and said meh. Then THIS came out and with WIFI and I was pretty crushed... so not I think I like the looks of the 704, though it has a 7inch screen... which is kinda big... and the new gen 4 has that stupid $100 add-on dvr station instead of coming WITH the unit!
Well there are my fav posts from 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Mmm... Dell monitors. Been drooling over the 20.1", then the 24", then the 30"! Now there's a 22" and a 27"? For the price, I'll still have to take a 22".
